On average, one person uses 166 disposable plastic water bottles each year. The consumption of disposable plastic bottles places enormous strain on our environment and only 90% of these water bottles are recycled. Chemicals in disposable plastic bottles are also toxic to human health but many people are hesitant to use drinking fountains because they are uncertain of the water quality. However, in a number of countries across Europe and the US, there are more regulations governing the quality of tap water than bottled water.
As the world has modernized we have become over reliant on automobiles. Our consumption of fossil fuels have increased to devastating levels, causing the environment to shift to previously unvisited occurrences . With this change, we must find a way to reduce automobile traffic. By creating a fun walking commute, the world could be encouraged to walk rather than drive. The solution: the bounce path. This creation would create a fun way to travel rather than driving, thus reducing fossil fuel consumption and improving the environments health.
I made 15 benches of restwood costumized for the ramp of a parking garage. I got the key from the owner, gave a presentation to the audience and opened the 'theatrical curtain'......and a jazzband was playing. Because of the sound of a saxophone, a guitar and a trombone people came to sit in my theater.
- French Ryanair travellers: 'C'est impossible....how great, can we sit here?!'
- Audience: 'We want more!'
- Jazzband: 'We were honored to play in this garage, you can call us for the next one!'
