Flying Bicycle

The flying bicycle is an entertainment thermometer. It invites people who are overcrowd in the traffic or people that simply are passing by. It’s a proposal to generate sustainable and clean energy, using your own body. It is for all the ages, white and costless. Just get on and ride, the energy that you produce whill you twirl the pedals is like the energy which pushs the pinwheels. The more you ride, the more the pinwheels move! The flying bicycle is a proposal to change minds through a different life style. Use your energy, move foward and go far! Submitted by Rasputines.

Very simple: you want some electricity? Pedal! But attention, you do not create any electricity, fact of pedalling just acts as a switch (the bike is connected with a classic grip): if I pedal, the current crosses, i stop, the current stop. A coffee, music, my favorite serial: I pedal. Slowly, fast, profoundly, it is as I want. The sport is good for the health. Submitted by Gilles Bonifait.

Hip Car Race

People like motor sports and especially car racing. How can they get in a car race and be a part of that? They can wear a styrofoam racing car on there hip and race on the track, with sector and lap times to be simultaneously shown on the lcd screen.
Running against a racing car is fun...

To conscience is the most effective way to changing every day customs. Small and repetitive gestures of daily life are the ones that have more impact. So the key is to reeducate habits and change people´s behaviours.
The idea is to put a counter or scorer on the tap water , basin and shower, sink.. to show you the amount of water you use and if it possible to use less obtainig the same result. To put a comparative of the litres you have used with a shocking data of what could have been done with the wasted water.

People don't pay for parking tickets in most of cases, at least here in Romania... To resolve this problem, I have thought, to make parking ticket machines interactive. Like You can see on my sketch, on the top of the parking ticket machine is a photo camera, which is in permanent contact with a face warp software. The camera takes the shout, the software makes hes job, so, on the parking ticket everybody can see a cartoon about himself. I think, much more people would pay for parking in this way.

Treadmill Racing Track

Treadmills and exercise bikes at the gym are a great way for people to work out regardless of the conditions outside. The problem is that they're boring and monotonous, and there's no incentive to push yourself (unlike running outside, when there's always someone to try to catch up to). The solution: Treadmill Racing. Network a series of treadmills and exercise bikes so that each one knows how

Chewing Gum Machine

Munching chewing gums, can anything bring more fun?
Yes, giving it back! There are some bad news for all, who love to see, how shirty people try to get rid of wet, gray, slimy and old gums under their shoes. From now on there is no possibility to see somebody twiddle with the gummy stuff. Thanks to the chewing gum machine! With the aid of light effects, sounds and loud colors it causes quite a stir.
For everybody who wants to have fun by using garbage cans!

Speed limit competition

Nobody likes speed limits but if we make it fun drivers will look forward to do not exceed it. HOW?

We can see radars on the street to show us our speed. But mostly there is nothing more.
If we do a speed competition drivers will have a fun.
Speed radar will measure your actual speed and compare speeds of cars before you.
CAr which will drive as close as possible to speed limit will be placed better that others. But if you overcome speed limit you will be disqualified.

Example:
Imagine actual speed limit is 35km/h

Cars before you were driving :
1, 32,5km/h
2, 31,4km/h

Dancing on Plastic Materials

I tried to find a way how to remind to people that recycling of plastic materials could be even funny. I selected the environment of business mall. The most of products with plastic packing you can buy right there. When you approach the cash desk there are some coloured areas in special shape on the floor (PET bottle for example - you can easily create another one). When you step on the first part of the "PET bottle", to remind the need to recycle - the part of shape will change colour from violet to GREEN and will make a sound like you really step on the PET bottle by recycling.

Magic Battery

Throwing spent batteries in the trash is harmful to our environment. There are some states in the US that even have rules to prevent their improper disposal. To promote the correct disposal of these batteries, a fun way would be to create a container that can answer a question, like a Magic 8 Ball. You put your battery and it is thrown to the container, being shaked and moved by its internal devices, so that at the end it falls into one of the possible answers. Submitted by Iris.

Song Dryer

2009-10-27 16:01 - 0 Comments

In bathrooms, many people don't like using the hot hand dryers vs. the alternative paper towel. There has to be a way to make those more fun. Perhaps instead of just hearing air blow out of the thing, maybe music instead, and not just the same song over and over. Use different songs that many people will like. They might actually use the dryer longer so they can finish the song, thus drying their hands effectively.

No boring bus stop

2009-12-15 17:21 - 0 Comments

The Bus Stops are boring places, we intend, using less money as possible, to transform them into interactive and joyfully places. Every week a big crosswords table will be installed at the bus stop. The people that are waiting for the bus could play completing the crosswords, using a big pencil (to avoid people to steal it) connected to the bus stop with a little chain…

Pong Dryer

In public toilets, where hand dryers are available, most people use toilet paper to dry their hands because it is faster. We are wasting paper using it in the wrong way; this also means we are cutting trees because we can't wait one minute using the hand dryer. Other consequence is more expenses buying more quantities of toilet paper in every place where a public toilet is located.

Velcro Grocery Bag

2009-12-15 16:32 - 0 Comments

The main problem of the green grocery bag is that people forget it at home. We wanted to change the mindset of shoppers when it comes to bags: today it costs them in Toronto 5 cents for every plastic bag. It is obvious that a cost is not a deterrent of forgetfulness. We want them to think of the green bag in terms of savings. To that effect we are proposing a grocery bag that you can stick velcro grocery list items on. This saves the shopper time from having to write a list or call their spouse to tell them what they need to buy. It also saves their sanity because.

ReRead Between Lines

When you read, the eyes needs to go from the end of each line back to start of the next line, covering that ground without picking up any words. When reading, like you are now, gathering information from symbols placed on paper, could you pick up information on your way back from the last line? It would be like watching television without commercials, smooth sure gliding the whole way.

Hungry Hungry Hippos Trash

The object of the game is to use the lever on the back of a player's hippo trash to consume as many of the cans on the playing field as possible. You have to insert cans to play the game. Play ends when all of the cans have been "eaten" by the hippos trash. The player whose hippo has "eaten" the most cans wins. Submitted by Lary Alaouchiche.

Doggy Station

2009-12-16 11:14 - 0 Comments

The Doggy-Station is working like a vending machine. Throw the “disposal” in the bin on top and get a gift on the bottom.
Step 1: Grab a doggy do bag from the storage on the top, and clear the “little mess” like explained on info badge on the bag.
Step2: Throw the package in the bin, located in the middle of the machine. If successful a sound is played, like putting money in a Vegas slot machine.
Step3: Got rid of the package, the gift will be dropped out from the bottom of the machine. For example packed dog treats and the person who took care of the dog excrements can give to his pet.

Freecycling is a fantastic way to pay it forward and to keep unused clothes from becoming landfill. The Karma Kalculator makes donating used clothes fun. It dispenses a fortune cookie style fortune to "predict" the good that will coming to them for the good that they have done.
